apparently they are starting to use them on some pro circuits, both on and off road.
it has been a long time since the styro/shell concept has been improved, so maybe it's time.
they look pretty cool though...

basically the Styrofoam shell is floating...cool concept. im surprised they havent brought some of the hockey helmet anti concussion tech into motorcycle helmets. Bauer has a lot of r&d into it.

one of the biggest problems i see is people buy lids that are wayy to big for them.. you can go spend a grand on a helmet but if it doesnt fit right its not going to do any good.
