Best price I have seen for my bike (shipping included) is at extremesupply.com -- installing a slip-on is easy to DIY.
Im pretty sure for that SV650...you need to cut the stock exhaust out to install a slip on.

I would avoid GTA retail for this, you will pay 30-50 percent over on-line.
Installation is often two bolts , after cutting the header with a sawzall or cutting wheel. If you can make cereal with milk, you can do this.

Not judgmental, practical. A new rider is way more likely to drop a bike in the first few months, why mangle an expensive aftermarket pipe?
