I am a new rider in Markham - at 14th and markham rd approximately

I have a small bike (CBR 125) and looking for other riders nearby to practise with :D

I also need to put the bike away - am completely unsure how to do so

Message me if anyone is interested :)

Thanks!

Good luck with all the high testosterone Alphas now that the cat is out of the bag. LOL

No worries with me.... I've already marked my territory... I've peed on all the girls I'm interested in....you're safe for at least another year.

What you need to do to winterize really depends on where you're storing your bike. I store mine in my garage and other than cleaning it, lubing it and filling the tank with gas with stabilizer in it, and putting a battery tender on it periodically, I don't do anything to it. I start it regularly and move it so that it's not sitting on the tires on one spot but that's probably more than needed.

If it's going in an un-heated shed you'll also need to critter proof it and be more diligent in lubing and protecting from corrosion.

I actually sold my GS500F to a woman who's very close by to you. I emailed her a link to this thread so you may have a riding buddy there.

Starting your bike and letting it idle for short periods is such a bad idea when its in storage.

First off....Welcome!!! You'll have a lot of fun and there are some great people on GTAM.

If you have any questions on storage prep, etc.... msg anytime.

Gotta store my bike soon as well. I'm gonna change the oil, clean it up and then throw the cover over it and that's it

If you want to go for a ride before I do all that, just shoot me a pm

Courage, try not to take stuff like this seriously. If someone here says something obviously outrageous they're just kidding around.

One of the rules on the internet, at least in the geek side of things, is to NEVER TELL ANYONE YOU ARE FEMALE unless you're trying to exploit some desperate fools.

Btw, Courage, I'm in Markham, on 9th and 407. I'm one of the few riders still riding. I'm 24, not an ******* (like 99% of ppl here), have a gf (so I don't need to urinate on others), and I enjoy helping others =D

Riders nearby to practise with?

What exactly do you want to practice??????
