New bike help?

Just bought a 2014 kawasaki klr 650 whenever i ride for more than 10 miles if i stop and put the bike in neutral then back into first it immediately shuts off, start it back up click into first shuts off every time until i let it sit for awhile. Anyone know what this problem is??
 
What is it Idling at when you put it in neutral?

When you say it happens when you put it into first do you mean when you try to start moving or when you shift?

Silly question but is your kickstand down when you put it in first?
 
Definitely take to dealership, if its brand new, its under warranty. Yeah kickstand in gear automatically shuts off. Is it the first year that KLR have EFI?
 
Bike is under warranty, you shouldn't have to fiddle with it. Get the dealer to look at and fix.
