Building a little project here and as you can see i didn't quite leave myself enough wiggle room, built it exactly for 6x6 tiles and you can tell they dont all perfectly line up with each other. Was wondering if anyone near scarborough has a belt sander that i could just take the tiniest bit off the outside of the 40 tiles i've got, there'd be a 6 pack in it for ya.

dont sand 40, just do 12, nobody will ever pull a ruler out and measurer the margin. and i'd probably use a wetsaw and set a fence up so ever one ends up the same width, belt sander is a gamble and would take forever.

Like crankcall says, it's job for a diamond saw. Take a hair off the outside ones and all will be good. Princess Auto or CT have the saws cheaper than all the sandapaper you will be going through with a belt sander. PM me if you want to bring the tiles to the west end and I'll check to see if I still have my wet saw. Do you have spare tiles?

Hmm okay i figured with a belt sander would work pretty quick, i literally was hoping to take off like 1/64th of an inch all the way around off all of them and then i figured they'd drop right in. The other reason for doing it that way is the tiles dont sit totally flush against each other so i was kinda hoping to knock any high spots off them.

If you guys are saying it wont work you probably know better then i would. I could take 1/16th off 12 of them and they should all drop in minty. Nobbie lets see if anyone closer has a wet saw that could help me out, but if not, driving to the west end isnt really a big deal considering i'm at least 180 bucks into this project already anyway lol (that includes materials, welding supplies, and a case of beer for my welder).

Oh yeah i have 4 extra tiles, and can get more easily, they're only like $1.75 each. Tile's will always be removable so i'm not sure what the question there was.

it's about having extra tiles in case one gets screwed up/broken. If really in a bind you can rent wet saws from HD.

Yeah if no one can help me out i'll have to rent one, it's a bit overkill for what i need tho.
