Nascar - engines and tires a flyin'

The rubbin, bump drafting, even side drafting is all part of the science of that sport. If you can't appreciate it, or even recognize that's its happening then maybe you aren't truly watching the race.

For ppl to think its just about left, Guys like Stewart, Montoya, Gordon etc etc can handle themselves respectively in any mode of racing. Go watch some old footage "race of champions" and you'll see how much talent these guys have.

actually look at the driving some of these guys do in the "off" season. Off road desert racing, endurance races, can am cars and GT. Its not just dumb luck taking them in circles at 200mph.

(I'll watch lawnmower racing in Wisconsin if thats whats available)

It's stands to reason holding a 3400# 700+HP car on thin edge of adhesion @ 195mph in a pack formation requires a deft touch. It's only thru the miracle of modern TV that it looks boring after 200 laps. The fact that it's over analyzed ad nauseum in a southern twang doesn't sweeten the experience. Your mileage may vary.

Looking for a live stream guys... I had one but FOX found it and cancelled it... I found another but can't see it without an ad over the top of it.

Ok i tried. After 8 laps it's still just gridlock at 190mph.You fans of Nascrap go nuts,i'll be in the garage getting ready for next season on 2.

I don't see the fascination in watching it on TV, but only an idiot would deny that it takes anything but absolute skill to pilot a 3400lbs steel sled at 200mph, 2 inches away from other cars going just as fast. Its insane.

That 2 inches is breach many times during one of those yokel fests, so I wouldn't go with "absolute skill".

Watch the last 8 laps. Formation chess game up to that point.

Contact is part of racing. Go play golf.

Funny, but I'm watching the Accenture World Match Play Championship, and switching over to the roundy-round thing for amusement during the commercials. The golf is far more exciting.

Yes lets watch hours of blue sky footage.

That was hilarious! And no I'm not a NASCAR hater, I watched all of the race today.

Sounds like a lousy way to spend a Sunday afternoon regardless. Like watching chess or poker...

lmao pretty good!

Go see a NASCAR/stock car event. Even the local dirt track stuff gets good... Then when you realize that the local guys are doing 70mph, you'll see how special it is that these top guys are just as close at 200. The TV doesn't show it, but these guys are sliding around every corner.

That said, I hardly pay attention to NASCAR now... The only reason I do is so I can keep up with it so my grandma has someone to talk to about it (she's a huge fan and does yearly trips). I'm usually out racing on 2 wheels on Sunday anyways.
