I don't know how you bearded riders do it with the full face helmets. Every time I start to grow it out and it's about 1cm long I have to shave it off because it's just too damn itchy after a short ride. Maybe it's just an in-between stage and once it gets a bit longer it doesn't itch as much....

What say you bearded riders?
 
Well, stop passing out in poison ivy patches.

Drink your beer in more sensible locations.

Worst time for me is after growing it out and then shaving it.

I never grow a beard, they are out of style, and most women hate them, i like being kissed by women :)
 
I've never really had that issue. But then again, I had a beard when I started riding. I can trim mine right down and not have issues so I think you just need to let it grow out a bit and let your face get used to the new stimulations.
 
ya ive had a beard before i started riding so i guess im just used to it, never had a helmet on while clean shaven
 
Every guy (and girl?) will have different experience with this - just like the hair on your head.

HONESTLY, I would say to try shampooing your beard when you shower.

No, seriously. Stop laughing! :p
 
I get the same feeling when I am in the 5 oclock shadow mode. Once it gets long enough to be considered a beard the itchy goes away.

Why wouldn't you shampoo your beard? I shampoo my goatee (real goatee, not that stupid hockey goatee crap) and I shampoo'd my mustache last year when I was growing it. Oh yeah, don't forget the conditioner too. :)
 
After the doctor gave me those 4 pills and I stopped letting strippers sit on my face; I have no longer had this problem.
