This looks exciting, but does this mean the 675 will be discontinued? I wonder if this is as smooth as the F4 because the 675 was a bit rough for me. I also wonder what Ducati has to offer when they release a baby Panigale. Maybe Kawasaki wants to join in on the action too and bring back the ZX7 ;).

I guess they felt the gsxr 750 is a bit lonely! I wish they would drop silver paint, it always looks unfinished to me.

Kawi won't come out with a ZX7r after just releasing the 636...that bike is already being compared to the triples and the GSXR750 instead of other 600's

Although I too am not a fan of that paint scheme, it's like asking Ducati to drop the red paint or Kawi with green.....it's what they're known for.

Looks good and those numbers are very impressive. It has more HP than the 848 with a smaller engine, which tells me Ducati will be coming back fighting.

Probably revs higher. Most inlines rev higher (and therefore have higher HP numbers) than twins. Hence why the 600's have almost double the HP of the 650's.

Very highly doubt the 675 will be discontinued. It's what, the first year of its' release? No way they're throw all that R&D out the window and drop that engine.
They're probably just looking for something to compete with the GSXr750 more than anything.

It's also probably going to be just as rough feeling as the 675 at lower rpm -- all they did was stroke the engine and throw in new injectors. If anything, it will likely rev just a bit lower at top rpm than the 675 due to the increased stroke length. It's definitely possible the vibrations will be even more pronounced due to the lower rpm and longer stroke.

There's not a lot of room in terms of pricing. There's only a few thousand difference between the F3 and the F4 so unless they drop the prices on the F3 I don't see how it'll work out.

They had me until I read drive by wire. Pity. That's possibly the hottest two wheeled machine ever.

I love the white one...absolutely gorgeous but I wish the headlight set up was side by side instead of the single!

Why don't you like drive by wire? Just fine tune it any way you like in the ECU??

One more electronic gizmo to break and that's kind of an important one. I'd just rather some things stick to the basics is all.

You should get one and gimme that 848
