Anybody out there know of *free* software that will loop sections of songs? I'm looking to learn some guitar parts and find it difficult to follow the song if I have to stop and start each little piece.
 
You can try to find a GP3 file of the song (Guitar pro 3) and use a free read version of the software to loop a section. It will show you the notes/tabs too and you can turn other instruments on/off.
 
You can do that right in iTunes. Right click on the song, click "get info" Then under the options tab you can select the start and end time. Set what you want, then when you play the song, put it on repeat and it will just do that over and over till you hit stop
