Motorcycling IS NOT a cheap hobby!!!

when I changed my tires I sucked up the used air in my garage and pumped it back into the tires. Free air, beat that.

I pump my nitrogen from the atmosphere. 80% nitrogen, beat that

I didn't know metal wheel weights were perishable pats of butter..

There is a whole lost of things that you should not re-use and actually should replace regulary

Rims
Bike Frames
Break and clutch levers
Oil Pans
Every wire in your motorcycle

You should replace all these every year other wise you are bad at bikes...

All good. I can deal with sarcasm, but this the thread I was referring to, the original poster was talking about reusing the stick-on weights, not the kind that goes on the lip of the rim.......

I only allow my tires to be filled with Arctic air, none of this cheap southern stuff for my ride.

Did you have to make a thread on the topic that some people are cheep? Whats your next thread motorcycle have two wheels(except those that have three!). You don't need to make a thread about a thread! Just post in the first thread.

I just find it amusing since it's a hobby and not a cheap one at that. I'm not sure what's with all the attitude I'm receiving on this forum. I'm just giving my 2 cents like anyone else. It bothers me that people are THAT cheap. If you want to pinch your pennies, take up knitting.

Motorcycling is a more expensive hobby than other Hobbys yes. I still buy used gear and parts to keep the cost down. Nothing wrong with trying to get a few more KM's out of a part. Remember not everyone has allot of money there are people that have bikes on shoe string budgets.

Never cheap out on the grease for your axle sticks.

Reusing stick on wheel weights is cheap and also good chance of them not adhering properly.
... And I'm all about saving money and screw the bling-bling.

+1, the bling-bling adheres quite nicely with self tapping sheet metal screws. Number 10x3/4.

For some people its not just a hobby, its a form of transportation

It bothers me that people are THAT cheap.

Why do you get upset by what other people do? It's their bike, it's their money. If they are on a budget - why is this your concern?

Just worry about yourself. They aren't affecting you, so don't worry about it. This will save you a lot of stress and drama in life.

Unless of coarse you like stress and drama.

HOOLLLAAAA!

Wheel weights don't expire and plenty of people run chinese rotors and pads on all kinds of vehicles without problems.

What always surprises me is the people that won't spend a nickel on gear but they have an extremely expensive bike.

I find it cheap. Spend a lot to buy quality gear and equipment once and the rest is simple maintenance. People are cheap with everything. Not just bikes. You can't win either way. Buying the best of everything makes you a poser to a bunch of fools on the internet. Being cheap gets you ridiculed by the same fools on the internet. Who cares? Do you own thing and ignore what other people think.

Very well said. HOOLLAA BACK!

Knitting is only cheap if you use crap yarn and crap needles. Good quality needles (and other knitting equipment) are surprisingly expensive and quality yarn is very expensive. It's generally cheaper to buy your own clothes than knit them. Unless of course you wear some very expensive clothing. Just saying. :P

Lol, thanks for the heads up.

The last wheel change I did, I rotated the wheel after tire install. It was heavy on the weight side, those were weights from the previous install. Instead of taking them out, I just break of quarter ounce by quarter ounce until it was balance.

Not only was I cheap, I was lazy! I'm going to hell, don't tell anybody, Okay??!
