Weather channel says -2c right now and only +2 high today.. so it's chilly but still no frost! i can handle the cold as long as there's no ice, who else is commuting?

Got to work an Hour ago, Halh hour commute and it wasn't as bad as I thougth it would be.

I'd rather die than ride in -2 how does it bring you any joy?

If you dress for it its not that bad.
Have you ever snowmobiled or snowboarded? You dress properly and you don't even notice, I commuted for a 1/2hr and my chin was a little cold and that was it.

Its amazing what having the right gear will do. Just like anything, if your dressed properly, it is enjoyable. Ridden countless times in weather below -2, especially when you add the wind shield. For the times I dressed properly, it was no problem. Even when I dont, for short commutes, I still love it and prefer it about a bazilillion times over driving my car.

Scraped the ice off of the windshield this morning.
Hope they won't be scraping some of you off of the highways.
Good luck with that.

If you ride in this weather, all power to you. My bike is simply not conducive to this sort of weather, and I have not (yet) invested in heated gear.

I rode briefly on saturday. That might be the last day for the season. Not bad though - a ride on Nov 18. There were years were we were pounded with snow in mid-November.

Weird, There wasn't even a speck of frost or ice at all this morning for me? My visor hardly even fogged up.

Hope u guys have heated gear.

Even though I have a H. Vest, I haven't ridden in November to work simply because I gotta bundle up so much and by the time I get to work, I'm in a mess.

I'm riding as well, rode everyday so far this month...whats with all the pussy posts? You boys forget we're living in CANADA?? People indulge in winter sports as well, we don't just stay cooped up inside all day. If the roads are good to go, so am I.

I have a heated grips, lined gloves, windproof downfilled armoured jacket, a fleece liner, wind/waterproof boots and my snowboarding pants and I'm good to go.
If they are calling for rain these days I will probably not ride but if its clear out I'm on the bike.

This coming Saturday is supposed to be 12degrees so you might get a November 25th ride.

I ttc'd it to the office today. Just not the same :(

this^^

No worries this morning and even took the freeway. At night I'm off the highway. Rush hour at night on the freeway is pretty crazy so I keep it on the side streets now. 9 more days till my season is done.

Motorcycling isn't a winter sport. You can dress as warm as you want but your tires will be hockey pucks all day long!!!

Maybe you like riding around like a pussy but that's not my style.

Nice commute, glad to see no frost. Sad that the bike will be going away soon.

its not the cold temperature I have an issue with, its cold tires. At < 5C temperatures be very careful because you won't have nearly the grip in an emergency situation.

Heated gear is for pussies.
If your a real man ride with shorts and a t Shirt. C'mon guys were in Canada!

I'm more concerned about the invisible hidden patches of ice that might be lurking around
