Mind your hydration levels - brutal couple od days ahead

Re: Mind your hydration levels - brutal couple of days ahead

you guys ride recklessly and stupidly so you expect an accident.. I dont.

Of course you don't. They're called accidents for a reason, most people don't plan or expect them. You know that, right? Or perhaps you're invincible?

Let us us know how your rehab goes when your luck runs out some day and something totally unexpected happens that puts you onto the asphalt.

BTW, I ride a big tank of a cruiser and drive quite conscientiously, thanks very much. But I still know that **** happens (happened to me 25 years ago and I have the scars to show for it) so now I'd rather not be a squid.

Re: Mind your hydration levels - brutal couple of days ahead

I only ride in my t-shirt and jeans... why would I dress up like an astronaut to go riding in 30C weather? I always wondered why so many of you were adamant to wear all that stuff... now I know why, you guys ride recklessly and stupidly so you expect an accident.. I dont.

I thought for a second you were serious ... good joke though.

If his post was serious, I hope he realizes that he can't protect himself from other idiots on the road? I don't know how many times cars have pulled out in front of me off side streets and I've only been riding for two months.

You guys are missing the obvious....Pegasus thinks he is a cyclist.

Re: Mind your hydration levels - brutal couple of days ahead

I rode for ~5 hours yesterday, took a hydration bladder thing with a hose with me in my bag. Problem arose pretty quickly - I had to stop for 2 pee breaks because I was drinking too much water initially.

That explains it. Cyclists are invincible, so I've been told.

Re: Mind your hydration levels - brutal couple of days ahead

Back on topic... anyone looking at the weather hourly? I leave for work on an hour drive to Toronto at 5pm today... forecast says 70% chance of 1-3mm rain/thunder-storms. But when you check the radar there isn't even a cloud over my town?? Confusing..... Gonna ride anyway, don't feel like putting gas in the car.

Hot and sunny weather usually lead to afternoon thunderstorms that form quickly and may not show up on RADAR

X2. Hot humid unstable air mass is a recipe for storms that pop up out of nowhere, don't expect to see them on radar and until precip is already falling and the storm building. Usually short lasted though, so if just waiting it out is workable time wise don't sweat it - stop somewhere sheltered and relax until it passes.

Re: Mind your hydration levels - brutal couple of days ahead

Moist is just a funny word imo. 
P.s. I'm really immature.

Ask Barney Stinson, he did a couple of hours of comedy sketch with just the one word.
