So lucky me, got a nail in the rear tire of my pp's. I still have half the tread left on them, and i'm thinking to just patch for a couple of weeks or so. I figured to turn this bad luck into an opportunity to try out a new set of rubber. Was thinking of the mm5's. Looking for feedback from owner's who have ideally had both tire options. The PP's are great but i can't help to think that there might be something better out there, and it looks like the mm5's might just be the tire. Now some of you are going to ask what my needs are, etc.
I do use my bike to commute, but hit the twisties every chance i get. I'm actually wearing out the softer compound on the sides of the tire more so then the middle strip. So i am looking for the best street tire out there performance wise. Might do a track day or two this season.
So let's recap. This thread is meant to be about the Metzeler M5's (MM5) vs Michelin Power Pure's (PP). And NOTHING ELSE. Thanks. Any input on realistic mileage is also appreciated. Cheers
