MMA fight tonight. What were the judges watching? Opinions?
 
Ya he got screwed. He clearly won that fight.
Unfortunately, it's the BS scoring system these judges have.
Might Of been the takedowns Davis had.
 
Just watched that fight. F****in judges!!! Did they actually see what was going on?

Scoring? I thought it was tap out? I guess the MMA really did pussy out when it became more mainstream. Lol.

MMA, MMA, MMA is kinda gay. According to josh richman anyway.
 
Who were the judges last night? Not Cecil peoples by chance?

But as Sonnythebull said, never, ever, leave it in the hands of the judges.
 
Thing is, these fighters should know by now that the judges put a lot of value in takedowns and control. You could take a guy down, he could beat you up from the bottom and elbow your face bloody but you'd still win since you maintained control. I can only think of a couple of occasions where the judges really gave proper credit to scoring from the bottom.

I would of gave the nod to machida but it was one of those fights where "you never know" and "anything can happen". I don't think machida "clearly" won, nothing like that. He basically landed a few more clean strikes (a few body kicks, couple head shots) but that was it. Neither guy ended up in serious trouble. Maybe next time he will step on the gas a little more and go get it. Instead of relying so much on countering.

On another note, wasn't so thrilled about Aldo attacking TKZ's dislocated shoulder. Thought that was a little cold since the ref would of had to stop the fight regardless.
 
Two take downs at the end of the first and second rounds lost Machida the fight. I don't know how he can be shocked the judges scored it 29-28
The entire night was brutal, terrible for a PPV event.
