Looking to buy or borrow a castle nut socket

I need a four lug castle nut socket for the nuts on the steering bearings on the Guzzi, but I don't know the size.

A C spanner might work, but I'm merely adjusting the tension, so I haven't removed the lower triple and the forks are still installed. I'm not sure if there is enough room to turn a C spanner with the forks in place. I was hoping to avoid having to remove them.

Vise grips are too big and fat. A hammer and chisel won't budge it without causing excessive damage.

Here's a photo showing measurement of the top nut: 1.653", 42mm. I'm not sure if this measurement is relevant to tool size.

Given a choice, I would prefer to buy rather than borrow.

What say the GTAM experts?

Thanks! (y)

edit: Yes, I'm old! I prefer an old fashioned dial over a digital caliper. 🤣

Is this what you are looking for?

This is their eBay ad, if you feel more comfortable dealing with eBay for shipping and payment:

In the UK, I believe. Pretty sure you can source one locally, but my Google-Fu skills not that Olympic.

Yes, that's exactly it. Thanks.

The bike is apart right now, so I was hoping to find something here in town.

Maybe Studio Cycle carries them?

Yep, figured so. Been there, done the CT rage-run many times.

All the tools seem to be from the UK. Sealey seems be be another manufacturer that manufactures and supplies castellated sockets, if you can find a local dealer for them.

I have one for a Suzuki.
I can measure tomorrow and let you know if it's the same sizing.
@Jayell I'm assuming you checked the Guzzi forums?

Btw. The one I have is from the UK manufacturer the Lightcycle mentioned.

I think @Jayell was trying to come at it from the top, not from the side.

Are we still talking about motorcycles here?
Goddamn! That is an ugly way to go about it! Might work as a last resort, though. Thanks.

Correct. From above.
Not sure what you think would get destroyed by using? Unless the nut is counter sunk

Only trying to give solutions here👍

Mind you I’ve been a mechanic for over forty years

Also easier to adjust the tension to the proper torque values using a torque wrench than a chain wrench...
