Leaving the keys in.

I heard country folk leave their doors unlocked. Can anybody confirm?

Not just in the Country. We used to have a neighbor walk into the house to visit my mother-in-law.
Poor guy had Alzheimer's and used to live at our place. Kids were in and out and in and out . . .

so what stops someone from taking the note to said business and claiming the key, then stealing the bike?

The ownership and hopefully a ******** detecter. nothing's perfect.

Can the OP or a mod remove the list of bikes in the first post? It's basically a list of free bikes

Read it again, these were all at least a summer ago. if they're still there... well their abandoned probably.

Was it silver and yellow???

I think so.... yours? it was an older one. maybe it's my imagination but I think it was one of the cooler years: two round headlights, square body style.

The worst is when you leave your heated grips on...

The latest model of the Oxford branded grips have circuitry to prevent this. I also have mine wired to a fusebox which is powered off when the ignition is turned off. factory grips turn off when ignition is switched off.

I did mine the lazy way, direct to the battery.
