Kahuna going out of business sale starts June 17th

Does anyone know what the future will be with Kahuna? Will they reopen under new management? Will there still be a sevice dept. there?

I never had any issues with there sevice and they were the closest Kawi dealer for me. Disappointing to see another dealer close.

Hearsay, but they could be remaining open under the Ride Motorcycles moniker.

I said in the other thread - I wouldn't be surprised if the whole "going out of business sale" is just a marketing gimmick now that they are merged together with Ride.

Last week I was told that kahuna/ride was trying to restructure under the same ownership and possibly they would open a bike service facility. Possibly some accessories.
But nothing was for sure.
How many of the people making negative comments forget that Kahuna/Ride allowed the customer to test ride their used or demo bikes. Not all bike shops do this........quoting some non existent insurance clause. Gp Bikes is the exception though.
Others that allow rides insist the rides be at specific times and escorted.
The manufacturer demo rides are great for newbies but useless for experienced riders.
After the huge onslaught of bike shops closing in the last decade we don't need another one biting the dust.

A bike service facility would be good at the very least. I dont understand all the hate with Kahuna. From sales (Norm) to their service dept. I have nothing but good experiences with them. I even recall a time when I was in rush and needed a crush washer. Their parts guy went out of his way to find one for me and didn,t even charge me. For me they were a convienient good place to purchase my bikes and get service when needed. Hate to see good people lose their jobs.
