For those that have owned both whats a better quality 1 piece suit?

Not to threadjack sir but I've been looking for a suit lately. I've checked out the Joe rocket one piece and compared it to an a* carver. For the extra hundred bucks the quality appears to be better to with the a*. Thought it might help you in your search. If not ignore me and carry on :D

Never had a Joe Rocket, but have/had RS/Dainese/Racer5. I like the RS the best, but Racer5 is very well made suit for the price. I lowsided (10feet+ on asphalt) twice with it and you can barely see the rash on the leather. I find the break in period a little longer, but nothing crazy.

My JR suit does the job. I've had one lowside in it at about 50-60km/h and I didn't get so much as a bruise. I wear a back/chest protector and padded shorts along with the BP that came in the suit which also has decent hip pads. The internal armour seems to be good quality and none of the stitching has broken open or started to come apart in 3 years.

No experience with Racer5 but I would say which ever one fits better with your gear on underneath is the one to go with.
