Interesting rear view helmet

Neat concept. It has been done on the aircraft for many years. If anything the focal of all the displayed info on the HUD should be at infinite distance so operator can see the surrounding along with the display at the same time. Proven technology but still nice to see a different application on the bike though.

This is the Future of Motorcycling, im surprised this hasn't come out years ago.

Yes i would buy this regardless of its price, the rear view camera let alone, would save me from the cherries going off, also this would not replace the side mirrors or the shoulder checks, imo its just another aid for the biker, the more we can see where we can't the better! and the added comfort of no more head phones, and the ability to turn the music on and off, and never getting lost again.

This will help people who don't filter not get rear ended and those who filter no need to anymore, and you can always know if there is a cop behind you now, they loose their sneak tactic.

If this helmet works really well, bikers get the ball back in their court!:D

The helmet would not be that heavy imo, they have to meet industry standards & its 2013 im sure they have nano technology. They made a thumb sized cell phone for sale to public 10 years ago, before that trend failed once they realised they can't do that with the actual phyzical phone only its technology.lol

This helmet would be perfect for me, i explore alot and get lost sometimes, and when that fuel light goes on, the ride goes from fun to praying the gps would be perfect.lol music on voice command, listen to it during traffic, then have it turn off when someone is trying to talk to you or you get pulled over, or you just want to hear your bike. Im also pretty sure they'll have the rear view display on/off option as well. I miss alot of calls, because i ride alot, and people/friends and family get annoyed by it, that would help with the hands free phone call.

If these guys can pull all this off in one helmet, i'll never buy another motorcycle helmet again!

i 100% agree and relate to every part you just mentioned. As long as i can easily turn on/off the rear view camera on voice command its golden...because if its just on at all times i think it may distract me more than i would be benefiting from it

You know they have these things call side mirrors? They are free with most motorcycles.

Huh? most sportbike riders know that that the mirrors on the modern SS is usually only good for looking at your arms/elbows.

Sounds like you just need a Sena/Scala

Most times, but certainly not all the time.

Why don't you tell about all the tickets for "driving properly" that you've gotten.

I'm sorry, where did he say anything about a ticket? And where did I?

So what's the problem then ?

Problem? No problem - just that I have been pulled over (cherries going off) for doing absolutely nothing illegal at all.... Just riding a sportbike and therefore targetted for a "papers check". My point was that cops routinely pull sportbikes over for nothing at all.... they're just on a fishing expedition.

you don't have to be riding like a moron to get hassled by police these days.

In fact, I remember reading quite recently that another member here was pulled over and almost slapped with HTA172 for weaving in his lane to clear his tire of sand/dirt. Also, getting hit with 172 for standing up on your pegs to stretch your back/legs

I think you will find quite a few people on here can regale you with tales of being lit up for very little if anything at all

Ok....and ?

Please, enlighten me. How would having a rearview camera prevent a cop from pulling you over for a paper check ? That was the original point of my comment.

No, your point was you won't get pulled over if you don't ride like a moron. You made that abundantly clear.

That is what I was commenting on, not 2wet's ridiculous post about using a rearview cam to preemptively run from the cops before the cherries go on.

You're clearly new here, so you probably aren't familiar with the type of things 2wet posts and how you really shouldn't take anything he writes seriously, at all

You know what these rear view cams would really help with? Idiots that go on a ride with you but pass you at 200km/h in your own lane.

I could really care less about the rear view camera, its the heads up display for displaying gps and the voice activation that is really cool with this.

I think I'd prefer a small screen in the middle of my handle bars linked to a camera mounted on the tail of my bike...

You know what else saves you from cherries going off ? Not riding like a moron.

Yup, confirmed.

Don't even get me started... you can get tickets for just having a yosh pipe on... don't be a dumbasss and think cops only pull you over because you speed, they will pull bikers over for anything! even flush mount signals. The point of the rear view camera would be to cut a turn or move out of the way, if you notice a cop pulling out of a side street woods to come sneak up on you, look at our laws, there is nothing wrong with evading a cop as long as he is not on his siren, lights, and close behind you, if he's in a distance you have the right to DIP!, because there is no proof he was coming after you with his lights off sneaking up behind you to mess with you, if you haven't noticed, if there is a cop coming after you or behind you, you are going to get pulled over period, a rear view camera would help to be aware of a cop behind you, just like you would be if you saw one far up ahead.

The only moron here is you for assuming, cops only hit the cherries on speeders, they can pull you over with a bulllshiiit excuse because your black in a white neighbourhood too!
