Instant douche bikes?

Re: Instant ****** bikes?

As a fairly new rider I take offense to the CBR 250 remark. As a female who's not built like a brick s*** house, I have to start somewhere and build up my skill level! It's still better than a Harley! ;) Then again, what isn't?!

Try a Sportster (duck for cover) and I will bet money you will like them, I started on a 250 and beleive me a Sportster is fun fun fun, and not that heavy a bike. I live near mountains it does excellent in the winding roads... I ride up the ski hill roads often ,I agree somewhat not likely to buy much larger then a Sportster maybe a Fat Bob.

I relize I may have joined the wrong forum but what the heck. My bike has never broken down once or leaked an ounze of oil, why do think everything is better? It sounds like your repeating what others say :)

no doubt, the cbr250 is one of the best first bikes around.

This could come up in somebodys internet search. Do you really want to be responsible for that? I bought my Triumph Scrambler for Hare Scrambles and the DR650 for long distance touring based on...........fun reports of excellence.......

You must have a lot of fun at the Belgian races that start in March :)I would jump at any chance to buy another Sportster in a heartbeat, but a 1200 not 883...hey I wave at scooters and mopeds buy what the heck you enjoy not what others think is cool... if I was younger likely would buy some other sportbikes but not at my age, the Sportster is my choice.

Disclaimer: not responsible for noobs that buy a Sportster and ride up and down the twisty hills, though they will do the job excellent.
if you practice practice and more practice.

Re: Instant ****** bikes?

I believe i was riding a Yamaha 250 cruiser at my course. Horrible bike for me.

What was so bad about it? maybe you had a beater transmission or something, I rode mine a year no problems at all except was not fast enough... you will never find a perfect bike only one you like.

Re: Instant ****** bikes?

I drive a big truck and ride a 1000 SS. I ****** daily so stay out of my way!

Re: Instant ****** bikes?

The gear shift was in a strange position for me, had to slide my foot almost all the way forward on the peg, angle it down to get it under the gear shift. It was the cause of me not getting to second gear many times.

Also the spread leg position that it had, was not compatible with me, also the bike felt heavy to me and not good for me.

The other bike i was on the day before was better, but someone else took it on the test day. It's all preference, i know.
