Yeah, great bike but it's not like you can't find them or anything, there is always a couple on kijiji.
It was a regular production bike not like the RC30 or RC45. Honda made a few thousand a year.
The price will hold better than on a CBR but don't expect magic. As for a specific one in mint shape, if someone is desperately seeking it, of course they will pay more. Hondas hold value well. However, I don't think that's what OP was asking for - just a general idea of what's reasonable and I don't think $9,500 is that for example, considering what much rarer and more collectible bikes usually go for.
I rode it, I liked it although the sitting position felt cramped for me and it had -1, +8 sprockets on it which was a bit too much to handle. Must have been a 2004 because it was definitely the Hayden edition. Took my buddy almost a year to sell it. A niche market and a relatively unknown bike. He took a hit on it because it was dropped.
OP - if you like Honda bikes from that era - check out 929 and 954. Much lighter motorcycles and still great looking although definitely not us unique. Personally, I love the V-twin configuration. Wish there was more available other than just cruisers and some overpriced Italian machines.
