Yup, its down. Salt brine on the 404, first sign of winter.
That stuff will play havoc with your disc brakes caliper assembly.
Unless you're consistently exposing it to excessive amounts and not cleaning, I don't really see it being much of a problem.
Just get a two wheel winter beater...an older or naked 250 or a dual sport is great. The less bodywork and cc the better, your rear won't spin as easy on throttle inputs and if you do go down not as much cosmetic damage.
its be cheaper to replace the caliper assbly every year, rather than insure a second bike,...
its not necessarily about being cheaper but having something for the job...and its never bad having a second bike.
Also if you ruin the bodywork on your nice shiny bike and you want to make it look good again the costs start adding up. Better to just have something you don't have to worry about and if you do dump it, whatever, pick it up and keep on ridin
?
Saw the trucks last week...this isn't something new.
BUT BUT Thursday + fri + sat is supposed to be 10+ ... debating if I should ride or not lol.
