I really want to be a meteorologist in Canada...

Was it not David Phillips that said in early Sept that we should expect a milder then normal winter?

Not that expect them to actually be right in either case.
 
He is probably just covering his bases.

Funny story...upon second look, that picture is of the group of colleagues I was at the Heritage Classic with.
 
Probably is, I don't take much stock in what they say beyond the next 24-48hrs anyways. So nevermind what the next season is going to be like. I know you can track trends like ocean currents and pressure zones and what naught to make predictions but I think there's a lot of interpetation and therefor room for error
