How the 2021 Ford F-150's onboard generator works

I work in the automotive industry ...

The $100k GMC Denali with all the gadgets and gizmos goes down the same weld line, the same paint line, and the same final assembly line as a Chevy work truck. Most of the bits and pieces that make it work are all the same.

It's not different with cars ... a Mustang GT500 goes down the same line as a base model. A Dodge Demon went down the same line as a run-of-the-mill V6 Challenger. A Civic Type R went down the same line as the cheap model.

The high-end stuff just isn't all that special when seen this way.

I'll buy what serves a functional purpose while skipping the nonsense.

My ten year old F150 4x4 with a 4.6L V8 ..
Factory cat back exhaust with less than 10 miles on it, if you ever need one. (I put a Magnaflow s.i.d.o. the day I bought my new 2010 ((4.6L)) ).
