I was sweating while riding squid yesterday...and was drenched after just installing a clip-on handlebar in the garage...

Interesting..

I get hotter riding squid than with my mesh jacket and riding pants.. the reason is the jacket covers the skin so you dont get the hot sun burning your skin, and the riding pants are not as tight as jeans - tight jeans/pants are more likely to transfer heat to your legs.. Also the riding pants protect me from the engine heat - important esp. on large CC motorcycles.

Problem is once you stop, you start to heat up so need to remove jacket etc asap. The Shark Evoline helmet is looking attractive today!

Nope, but get to worry about soccer mom's with screaming kids and a text message in her minivan, "important" people in their BMW, and clueless teenage girls in daddy's SUV. I think I'm more on alert in busy GTA 400 series traffic than when I was in the back of a vehicle overseas. Changes when you're on foot patrol though lol.

Honestly, I am not sure if I could handle GTA riding every single day during rush hours like you people do... I can do it just fine, but my road rage comes out because I hate my bubble being pushed when I'm on the bike. I think doing it every day would just kill the joy of riding to work.
 
401 today around 3:00 felt hotter than Death Valley. Even at speed, the air was still a hot blast, seriously felt like a sauna wind tunnel. Saw two guys whip by me at about 180 (them), squidding, figured they had to go that fast just to stay cool.

To like 5 drivers out there today, yay, your BMW can keep pace with a motorcycle that isn't trying, I see you, and if you try to catch up to me in traffic, at least have the decency to be a chick. When will these people learn that credit != balls?

I thought I was the only one who thought this way too. When it's too hot I rather drive into work. And don't have to worry about changing out of the gear. But I still like going out for long rides.

When it's hot I come in early and leave early (just to beat traffic) or I'll stay a little late so rush hour dies down and its a bit cooler. Early morning rides are awesome, it's bright out but cool and little traffic.
