Holy Gas is cheap on a motorcycle Batman!

I just did Montreal and back not taking my time on roughly 85ish worth of gas. 1.50 here and 1.59 there. Their regular is as much as super here. Pretty cheap all things considered. I made it back to Toronto in just over 4 hours :D

When do motorcycles become more gas guzzlers?

When they become Ducatis that's when. My 848 used to do 140kms to a tank and the 749 isn't much better...although I'm pretty sure they designed it that way cause that's about the same time you're body needs a rest. No iron butt riding one of these suckers that's for sure.

I find gas mileage poor on my bike. 60mpg seems very poor relative to my PTurbo that weighs 10x what the bike does, carries 4 people and some bags and breaths 750hp of pure terror while it gets almost 25mpg.

Just goes to show you that they're not even trying to get good mileage out of bikes yet.

Actually gas is the same price.....

I know what you mean. Everybody says it's the poor arrowdynamics of bikes but I can't see me holding back 600hp with my arms sitting in the upright position. I think it's the "o" rings in the chain.

Lucky for me, my bike is unreal:

Wow that's actually great mileage considering the kind of caliber that bike is. I thought I was doing good getting roughly 160-180 to a tank on my gixxer thou'.

I'm glad I don't ride a 'real bike' either LOL as I get about 4L/100km on my G650GS and am lov'n it :D

3.5l/100km here...full tank gets me approx 280-300km and costs no more than $15! Been commuting on the bike daily and loving it. Mind you it's only a 13km commute up Islington so it's not very traffic heavy but the bike makes it way more fun than the cage.

Bought a car too as needed it but will not drive it too often as long as it's warm.

Not much cheaper on a SS. I fill up $22 premium form empty which gives me 180-200kms befor the light comes on. Its pretty much like a civil if you fill up regular. SS bikes rev very high which means they wont be very efficient when it comes to gas. On the other hand, my friends 250 does more than double my range with $20.

I usually had 2 x24 case of bottles on my RZ350 back in the day heading to the cottage...boy the things I used to carry from a snowmobile hood to a ham radio base omni directional antenna.
Can't take a few cases of beer on the bike either.

So was gonna take a long ride today(long for me) and got about 1/4 way there and noticed my gas was down to last bar.

So i went back and decided to fill up. It was my first time, read the manual and started filling up.
Was interesting experience to watch the gas come out and into the tank.

So it filled pretty fast, didn't look at cost till i got home.

Gas is at 124.X right now, It took me $11 to fill my tank. I was gobsmacked.
My car takes $80+ to fill. Makes me want to take my bike everywhere instead.

GAs is not cheaper, your bike just takes less off it
