S.O.A.B.... trying to do the right thing and be environmentally friendly...I have been using canola oil for the chain saw bar, instead of petroleum based bar oil...Went for a refill today and holey fu%$... price has doubled, almost the same price as reg bar oil the only issue with canola is its a bit thinner and you use more..but the saw tastes better 🤮.....ok I feel better now, I have vented...😜
 
They have a monopoly now? Or did the heatwave destroy all the crop?

I'm sure some people have used even stranger stuff as a lube....
 
Diminished crop prospects from poor weather, especially in Canada, have turned Rapeseed and Canola markets on their heads, with prices at all time highs
 
I have a gallon of canola oil sitting in my shed - I bought it to re-season my cast iron pan, but never got to it. Looks like I should wait a few months more and exchange it for a video card.

COL is getting insane

I feel like I'm being punished to live in Ontario lately...

And even my high earning friends are thinking about taking on part-time jobs :eek:
