Russia has said the lad playing there was welcome back if found not guilty . No clue what the others do , since not guilty is NOT guilty , the NHL should take them back . Optics and the moral/ethic code may hinder that .
I’d hire the Greenspan family and nail Hockey Canada to a wall . Every other organization involved in any sport is paying g a high price with administrative costs running checks , interviews and clearances for anyone involved in sport ,not just youth , adult code of conduct has all changed because of hockey Canada trying to bury this mess .

If I were one of the 5 acquitted I'd be looking to sue this organization as their actions precipitated the review and then charges. I'm reasonably confident that if the settlement had not occurred then the police would never have reopened the case or laid charges. Lots of PC issues here.

Lost wages over the last few years and potential lost wages or career(s) in the future. Big bucks here in total.

"What I could have become" is a tough fight unless they had a contract in hand. Even those could have morality clauses that don't need a guilty verdict. They might get some traction on their rights being trampled without consent.

The book on Pro athletes and sexcapades would make the Epstein files look like a Dr Seuss book.

I don’t see the NHL doing anything quickly as the league is on summer break. Teams get back to camp in a few weeks, I’ll bet the player privilidges get reinstated before then.

Time tames trouble in these cases.
 
The morality lesson is that today with cameras everywhere and an internet that never forgets you have to be aware of the mindset of people that could affect your future. A couple of generations ago a divorced man couldn't get elected and gays were subhuman. Now the POTUS is a double divorced pussy grabber married to a nude model.

I know some bible thumper fundamentalists that feel a kiss means you have to marry the person.

Would the crowd boycott a game when one of the players was known to have kissed a girl but didn't marry her?

Would the crowd boycott a game where five players were known to have banged a drunk but conscious girl?

There are people I avoid because of their ethics even though they are completely legal.

What ethics do you think people would accept on resumes?
