Well, I decided to give them a try.
This summer I did go and buy a smoked insert to help with the sun in my eyes on my westbound trip home from work.
I didn't like the way it would not fill the entire inside of the shield.

So I didn't have much hope for the anti fog clear insert I used this morning.

I was in a bit of a rush to get out of the house this morning at 6:30 am.
I put it in and started out. The insert was not placed properly so it partialy obstructed my view and I cursed it all the way to work. I was bebating weather to stop and fix it, but I was in too much of a rush to get to work.
Once at work I readjusted it and was ready for the trip home.

I have to say that it worked surprisingly well.
The entire way home I did not raise my shield once. I even stopped for gas and left it closed.
Not a hit of fog.

These things are truelly amazing.

They are amazing, I used them racing all summer and could not believe how well they worked.

BUT: I do remember racing in POURING rain in Mirabel and a MONSOON at AMP and they did fog (in NS most rode with visor open anyway) I think there is a maximum amount of moisture they can absorb and they they reach a limit. But both times (esp. NS) were ALLOT of rain.

Is there any product like this for the Shoei RF1000?

It took 5 degrees and heavy rain, to fog mine up on the street. Even then I had a centre area that was fog free, so I could at least see well enough to get home.

Forgot to mention the only bad thing about them.
There can be a lot of weird reflections inside the double shields at night.

I've got an HJC Hellion full face with pinlock. It was included free with purchase. I found the reflections to be too distracting with the pinlock accessory in place. (Note also the instructions say for day time use only). Long story short, it did reduce some of the fogging but for me it also reduced visibility out of the helmet and distorted what I did see, so I elected to remove it and store it away as a bad experience.

yeah. mine was free with the helmet as well. and yes it does distort and reflect, but the ability to resist fogging outweighs those bad effects by far.

So far that has been my opinion, also, but I plan on obtaining a new visor and removing the Pinlock insert, for daytime summer riding. As Schuberth supplies them as stck, it's the only way for me to get a plain visor.
