Yes the left is the safest.
Many newbies are not comfortable at the speeds around the GTA that the left lane moves at.
This thread is advice for a new rider who is a bit intimidated ( with good reason ) with the speeds in the left lane.

Oh my bad, I didn't realize the left lane is only the safest if you're speeding. Just so we're clear, you advocate speeding in the lane with a wall that has oncoming traffic on the other side as an escape, versus doing the speed limit safely in the right (proper) lane that has an escape route with no oncoming cars next to it.

We'll get right on that.
 
I think the food at famous Sam is far more dangerous than any lanes.
That greasy spoon should be closed for lack of basic sanitary practices ...

snort - one of the dumber arguments I've seen but you go on ignoring the actual statistics, or perhaps you did not bother to look.

You're advocating sticking at 100 kph in the right lane..:rolleyes:....oh I'm sure you'll be just fine on the GTA slabs on a Friday late afternoon

If you can't stay with traffic stay off the slab.

Lol. Your a funny guy.

That's exactly what I'm advocating, and that's exactly what I do. You wouldn't believe the amount of people I pass doing it.

So what you want is everyone speeding in the left most lane because that's the safest, while the right lane remains empty for me to putter along? I'll take it. Thanks.
