help with bandit windscreen

so ive got a mean rattle in my windshield and i need to try and fix it. problem is i cant figure out how to get off the front v shaped cowl. i have the haynes manual but it doesnt help. i dont understand the clips holding it on. how do i pull or pry this off? pull up? out? jimmy with a butter knife? i don't get it and the cowl is going to snap. can anyone offer tips?

They'r all put together in one way or the other , if you swing by - I can help. Other than that - try a bike specific forum or YouTube?

i have the photos from when I swapped out my screen. I will take a look for them later today and send you the pics(will have to scan them)
