Helmet Shapes - Bell Arrow vs. Vortex

Can anyone comment on head shapes within the Bell line of Helmets?

I purchased a Bell Arrow Strafer from canadasmotorcycle.ca. At ~55cm, (Size Small) it was too large, and exchanged for an XS. Although it fits perfect front/back, the rounder shape provides too much play on the sides...both in the cheek pads and when pressing side-to-side. My head is more neutral/oval, so I must return yet again.

The wife purchased a HJC CL-16 Hellion (Size XS) which is almost a perfect fit... there is a minimal amount of side play, so therefore still (slightly) too round. Although I would never notice without the Bell comparison, so I'm picky now :)

From what I've read, the Bell Vector has a more neutral/narrower shape than both of these. Therefore, would it be safe to assume that this helmet should fit?

I would love to try these on in-person, but nobody appears to stock within the GTA. This is my first real bike/helmet so I'm not considering a Shoei/Arai/etc. until I have more miles/experience to justify the investment.

Thanks!

Ive got the Bell Vortex, and i also have the Shoei RF1000. I find they fit almost similar, but the vortex is just a tad tighter.

arrow fits too tight for me in an xl, but the vortex fits perfect.

I found the bell vortex and the icon allience fit pretty close. (or was that way for me).

Quick update in case this ever comes up in search.

Received the Vortex today. Fits like a glove. Overall quality is much better... ventilation, chin bar, liner/padding/etc. The neck curtain is also very comfortable. Exterior appearance is much smaller... the Arrow made me look like a bobble-head.

Narrower fit than the HJC for comparison.

The transitions shield is also VERY cool.

I would highly suggest this to anyone looking at helmets in this price range.
