Has anyone tried NanoTips for their gloves?

It works, but you still have the problem of a thick finger with the glove on making phone use difficult. Not really possible to type.

Better off using velcro to stick a smartphone stylus somewhere on the bike, or use a phone with stylus like the Samsung Note.

Ah! Genius idea! (The Stylus) :) thanks!!

I tried the paint-on solution with mixed results. Thicker winter gloves didn't work well, but thinner summer gloves were much better. In both cases, the application only lasts a few weeks.

I really like the stylus idea. Amazon has 3 packs for $1!

I believe the dollar store sells little rubber touchscreen styluses on a piece of string. They're meant to tie onto a phone case.

I was thinking about rigging up something with one of them, then I realized my gloves work with the touch screen as is, even through the rain proof case.

Why not just take the gloves off? You're not planning on using the phone while in motion, are you?

Maybe not while in motion, but if you were to pull over somewhere to type in an address in your maps app it would it a little more efficient if you didn't have to take your glove off. Genius idea if it was reliably functional because I'd apply it before going on my longer rides.

Yep, that's the plan.. I already run a Garmin 660, this would be to control my music or to do a quick look up.. I find google maps a lot better for looking up gas and food when on the road..

Google maps is simpler to find gas and food? Have never used it for travel, but I really have trouble believing it is easier then on the Zumo. I have a 660 as well, and it is super easy to see what is around, be it fuel, food, lodging, whatever. How does Google maps compare in this regard?

yep, for sure much more accurate and reliable. Ie. Type "Food" or "gas" into Google Maps and you get a lot more accurate locations and descriptions in the nearby area. On the Garmin, if you search for "Gas" you get results too, but a lot of them are not "smart" results.. ie. You will get locations like "Macs" listed for gas, and often locations like these dont actually have pumps. Garmin Zumo 660 good for routing, but I have found the smartphone to be invaluable when looking up a restaurants etc

I just picked up a bottle at Town Moto - $24 plus tax. Currently waiting for my glove to air dry. I'm hoping it works well on the Apple Watch.

I got Nanotips back from the original kickstarter. Could never get it to work well enough to bother using it, ended up tossing the bottle in the garbage.

Seems to work well for me on lightweight leather gloves. It's good for swipes and firm presses, but I wouldn't dare type.

Get the F off your cell phone and ride your damn motorcycle. Jeez.... How does anyone have any fun these days..?

Getting lost is more fun than following a GPS. Who needs a touch screen watch that does the same thing as the phone in their pocket? Lol Seriously..... Technology makes people useless. Want to eat, drive by a place and try it out. Nope, gotta read 15 reviews from people who may not have the same taste in food as myself.
