GTAM Lag?

yea, it seems to be ok for the most part, except pages never seem to finish loading, just keep getting the spinning loading icon in firefox.

Nope, not yet. It still takes a while to load. When it is dragging I see the following:

Read s-static.ak.fbcdn.net

That's Facebook. Either someone is linking to Facebook, in their sig, or it's something that's tied to the board's function ('Like' button, etc.).

I'm getting time outs just loading the main page. It took me three attempts just now for it to load.
 
Got the database error pretty much all of last night.
 
Forget the lag.

WHERE ARE ALL THE THREADS WITH THOUSANDS OF MESSAGES??!!

Posts deleted due to possible database overload.

I swear it's the recent surge of mobile parsing the server must be dealing with.

Also Paul, I can only hope you did indeed backup the last databases without just deleting em.
 
In the absence of a detailed report and based only on what I have read I can only conclude that there is no backup and all the old messages containing more than a decade of the GTA motorcycling community history, a wealth of experience and useful information are gone. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

Got database error for about 5 minutes. I didnt know what to do with myself during those precious minutes.

I want them back! *shakes fist*

been lagging again today.

not as bad as the other day, but it's still noticeable.

edit: on a side note, even the email alerts for PMs are slow. I just got an email at 4:40pm about a PM i received at 3:26 on the board. dunno if that's related, but thought you should know.
