Hey guys,

So i had a motorcycle insured with statefarm last year with a policy running july 1st to july 1st. My bike broke down last year in july and i did not renew my policy. This year in march i insured a new bike with statefarm. To my surprise statefarm charged me 130 dollars x3 over the first 3 months of the policy. At first i thought i canceled my old policy early and that is why i was paying extra. After several chats and arguments with my broker i finally found out that they just renewed my old policy (the one that ran july 1st to jut 1st). Since i got insurance in march they charged me a summer month premium as my insurance technically started in march and would expire in july. I told the broker this is not what i wanted and i was under the impression that my new bike was a new march to march policy. I told him to tell his underwriter that this was a mistake and i want to get insurance from march to march. A few weeks later he said they made an exception and they redid my policy. I assumed i would be getting a $380 credit as the policy change charges no longer applied. It has been 2 months and still no credit. Not only that but my motorcycle insurance went up like 5 bucks a month lol. I emailed the broker over a week ago and no reply. I plan to go in there tomorrow and ask wtf!

I don't want to get my broker in trouble as im not a dick, but if this **** doesn't get resolved soon i will call the statefarm complains department.

Am i missing something? I am farily sure statefarm owes me money as i am currently paying a years worth of premium over 12 months + 380 i was charged for a policy change.

God i went in there and he told me its because my policy runs from July 1st to march 30th. Are these people retarded? MY OLD CONTRACT WAS PAID IN FULL!!!! why would i want to restart my old contract where i would have to pay extra for summer months WHERE I DID NOT RIDE!?!?!?

Is there a contact number where i can speak directly to someone who can help because my agent is confused.

Did you not renew by not responding to anything? Because I believe you have to actually tell them to cancel your policy or else it is auto-renewed in this case maybe they charged you for some of the winter months?
You jumped around alot in your question and it is kinda hard to fully understand?

No I canceled my policy so it did not renew. I even asked my agent and he said i did not owe anything on my old policy. This is what they did.

My old policy ran from July to July (paid in full)

I came in in march to get insurance. I wanted the new policy to run from March to march.

What the agent did was o, lets just continue your old policy ..... July to july.... but its march so you have to pay an extra 380 because you will ride 2xs summer months... the coming up may June July august and the next years may June......

And now they are all ****en confused.

So i went in and said that's not what i wanted. So they changed it from july to march but gave me no credit.... I STARTED ****EN RIDING IN MARCH!!!

Im so ******.... i called the complaints department and left a voice-mail.... this **** had been going on for months.

It might make more sense if you had the year after the month. Are you saying they're charging you for 2 bikes for say Mar '11 through July '11?

Is this with Mike Francis or another State farm agent?

No. Also the agent told me the regional manager will call me before the weekend.

What happened was the used my old paid off contract. So since i technically insured in march and it was to expire on july 1st... they charged me more as most of the policy is used in the summer months. I donno, they are retarded.

I told the agent im tired of this **** and that i was a normal 1 year policy, march to march for the policy that was originally quoted to me. 1840 or so a year.
