Hello Ladies and Gents,

I just recently started getting into riding a motorcycle and I'm loving every bit of it!

So on a spur of the moment kinda of thing, on my 22nd birthday just this past March. I went on down to the Service Ontario downtown and attempted to get my M1 license. I passed it with flying colours! I swear I was expecting the guy in the exam room to call my name and say "Sorry, but you've failed." But I passed and I was ecstatic because it was my 22nd birthday as well!

Anyway, called up Learning Curves down by the Beaches (Coxwell/Eastern) for my MTC. Did their Midnight Madness M1x for 2 nights ( 4pm-12am) and I passed that Exit Course! Practiced with a Honda CBR125 mostly. Got my M2 a few weeks later, sweet!

I'm riding around with my uncle's 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan 750 for the last 2 months or so. Man, is that bike heavy! But it's a great bike IMHO. It feels really planted on the highway (Mostly Gardiner/DVP/404)

Now, I'm looking for my own bike. In particular, a newer Kawasaki Ninja 250R. I've been scouring the net for one and I hope I find one soon!

Any advice for insurance for a 22 Y/O, M, with a fresh M2, living in Downtown Toronto? Any helpful tips and advice is much more than appreciated!

P.S. I always hang out at the Timmie's at Leslie/Lakeshore I always see bikes there, I love seeing 'em around!

Thanks a bunch guys!

welcome to the forum!

I'm 21 and live downtown. Just keep your eyes open and ride smart and you'll be fine. Watch for pedestrians, cabbies, and cyclists

Shoot me a PM if you want to meet up for a ride

Try State Farm, as long as you have 5+ year since you got your G1 they will give you a pretty fair deal.

If you're also at UofT (or are a UofT alumni) look into TD Meloche Monnex as well.

Welcome!!
