Nice. If the mounts are good it's worth trying. I bought a HD vivitar action cam on clearance at CT for $50. Camera was fine but the mounts were awful. Returned it

If you're concerned about battery life, I believe the DRIFT Ghost-S has the best one on the market. They also have a new Stealth 2.0 camera coming which is super small, yet with almost all the capability of the Ghost. I've used both the Go Pro and the DRIFT and find the DRIFT far easier to use...plus it looks nicer.

Indeed. The VIRB Elite includes GPS, so attaching ride telemetry to your videos is a lot easier because it is already there. Speed, location, altitude, g-forces, direction, etc.

The Elite (if not the regular VIRB as well) also comes with some basic mounts, plus an adapter to attach to GoPro's wide selection of mount options.

Looking at Youtube reviews, the video look as good or even better then the GoPro Black.

I bought it to compliment my Drift and I like it a lot and can't beat the price. $150 and it comes with about $100 worth of extra mounts


You can also buy extra batteries really cheap online.

Thanks Splash, I just ordered one from Factory Direct. I had been looking at the Go Pro and this is a far less expensive alternative and Sony has been producing high grade electronics for decades.

So far can not find any. On RFD there are sellers wanting to get rid of there 3`s. No deals there though. Some asking ridiculous high prices.
