Good news thread

Just had a pleasant interaction with 407, who'd a thunk it.

Got a bill for my late wife's transponder lease renewal, enquired if I could transfer it to my name and pay the bill via her estate account. "We can't transfer transponder ownership but I've removed all charges. Please return the transponder at no cost, sorry for your loss."

Years back my wife accidentally paid the 407 by mistake (online banking) when trying to pay another bill (clicked on the wrong one). And to top it off, it was for a car/account that was long gone and she noticed weeks later...

I basically told her good luck getting that money back (I expected runaround)! She called them, they answered the phone and they straightened it out right away, refunded the money.

•Is there a history of disease in the family?

•My twin father and twin brother both have lymphoma...does that count?

I knew a guy that raced pigeons and tracked their performance, giving the slower ones to a friend of his wife. I asked what she did with them and was told "She cooks them." Now there's an incentive plan.
