Daugthers BF rides (a cruiser) and I thought maybe that would be an avenue for Xmas gifts.

How handy is he? Can you stand being around him? An afternoon of knowledge transfer will exceed the value of physical gifts by an order of magnitude.

Not sure how handy he is. Seems like a nice guy however they are a couple hours away so not likely getting together to wrench.

Buy him a dickie...he will love you for it. You can get them in leather if that's his thing.

Good call. I have two the Squeeze knitted for me. They're great for riding or sledding.
 
A small toolkit for the bike - I know my bike came with one, but it wasn't fully equiped. At least for me, i took a set of allen keys with me all the time.

Also, i know it's kitchy, but some people like branded apparel.
