@radek,,,,,I was gong to do this myself, and then it hit me, I don't have a compressor, spray gun, spray booth, paint, and so on......and I am not a painter no matter how much I tell my self that I am or want to be, it just is not in the cards.
So I decided to have it done by someone who is a painter, I am sure if you contact carboncat, you will be more than happy to have him do it, well that is if you don't have the tools to begin with.
His pricing is fair, well better than fair, I have not seen the parts in person, but I am hopeful the pictures are not deceiving, and they look just as good if not better once I have my hands on them.
The rest of the rebuild I did on my own, but the painting I left for the pro's.....

just got the tins tonight, they are pearl white, but the pictures make them look silver, I will have to wait for some sun and take a few pictures outside, for now I have these

Just wanted to say Thanks to TJ, at Reflections Auto Refinishing, (carboncat - here at the site) for the excellent job he did on my tins, and the extra mile he went to fix the nubs that were broken, he attached them using some super stuff (panel bond) and when one of them didn't line up, he offered to fix it up for me, we met, he removed the nub, reseated it correctly and my side panel was once again useable, and fit like a glove....
You guys need paint, be it a car or bike parts, get in touch with TJ, excellent work, and I like how he will go that extra step to make sure your a satisfied customer.....
Thank You very much....excellent work and a great experience, I know Andy is looking to get his tins painted by you as well.......come winter.....after riding season is over...

I really like it, it looks really good, not blinding, and it sets the bike off really well, the metallic sparkle in the paint adds to the over all appearance as well

If and when another project presents itself (it almost did, but I was in the middle of this one) I would like to do a KATANA, similar year, but maybe an 1100 instead...
It would get a better restore done, and it would be one I would keep....
and just for comparison this is how the bike was when I started
