Hey bud. I'm planning to give my 1980 GS1100 a paint job once the season's over. What you've done looks pretty good to me, I'd appreciate any pointers you could spare to make my life easier.. prep work, type of paint, etc.. it looks really good man!
@radek,,,,,I was gong to do this myself, and then it hit me, I don't have a compressor, spray gun, spray booth, paint, and so on......and I am not a painter no matter how much I tell my self that I am or want to be, it just is not in the cards.
So I decided to have it done by someone who is a painter, I am sure if you contact carboncat, you will be more than happy to have him do it, well that is if you don't have the tools to begin with.
His pricing is fair, well better than fair, I have not seen the parts in person, but I am hopeful the pictures are not deceiving, and they look just as good if not better once I have my hands on them.
The rest of the rebuild I did on my own, but the painting I left for the pro's.....
