Gas up $.30 in less than 48 hours

Did the carbon tax go up again?

Can anyone explain this to me?
No - just accept it like a good Canadian
The reduced taxes the gov collects are still in place, wait until Dec when they go back to normal.

Yea last night it was $1.75 - $1.80 in Toronto. A few days ago it was $1.55, the price was actually going down a bit then, now shot up.

Good news it is going back down

Sent from the future

When I read this last night, I swore it said “good news it is never going back down”

It was around $1.75 today...heard on the radio it’s expected to drop some more throughout the coming week.

Coming down 7 cents tomorrow.. expect a 27 cent increase soon... 🤔

A 5.7 cent cut on a $1.60 liter is less than 4%. I'd go with the NDP. That's not much. Some but not much.

My manager spent 20 miniutes on the phone arguing with a contractor who wanted a bigger discount. He gave in a tiny bit saying "You've taken up 20 minutes of my time for a half percent." The contractor replied "A half a precent of $60,000 is $300 for 20 minutes work. That's good in my books."

Right now 4% on everything would hammer inflation to a more reasonable level and if the BoC was legit interest rates would drop.
