Gas fill up

Soo.... I was kinda wondering.... What are you supposed to do if you happened to overfill to the point where its about to spill out?
If you overfill and you think it's may come out or pressurize your tank when it gets warmed, it's better to throw away a few ounces before you ride on.
You can lift fluids out of a container with a cylinder. Most gas stations have straws and cups. Dip a couple straws, put your thumb over the end, lift it out, then release the fuel into the cup.

It's just to keep the tank level.

I understand (although disagree for safety concerns), but I really don't think it's wise to suggest that someone who posts on the internet about being scared to fill up his tank should be sitting on the bike. The guy's already nervous and what if he panic's and jumps off the bike for some reason...bad things can happen. Just saying for this guy it's probably a good idea for now to get off the bike until he's more comfortable pumping gas.

If a person panics that easily he'd be terrified of bikes in the first place. Give him some credit. He said himself he just doesn't want to look silly at the pump. And he's brave and cautious enough to ask a dumb question. Then he said he got it right in the first place.
The unanswered question was the simple way fuel pumps sense fill levels, and how totally obvious it is if you screw up in the only way possible. I answered the former, and told everybody a very embarassing story about the latter.

I think that if all new riders had his attitude, none would get hurt.
You are the one who is nervous.
