If you can use kitchen cupboards try Craigslist free section ppl are always throwing them out after remodeling.
 
Rona often has the plain white wall and floor cabinets for sale at bargain prices. You can use them for cheap kitchen or laundry room set-ups or for inexpensive closed storage in a garage or workshop.
 
I got the side ones at Wal-Mart and the ones at the front from Canadian Tire....

Man i thought I had a nice setup, very nice job there. Little bit bigger would be nice but that's one hell of a nice garage.
 
Home Depot has cabinets on now (not sure for how much longer) for $99 each or you could try the resell at Habitat for Humanity.

Ya for sure check kijiji before u buy retail. But ya they are all over the big box stores really comes down to how much u wanna spend.

OP, think about an overhead storage above where the garage door sits when it's open. I'll be adding that to my garage. I'll post pictures when I can. I'm pretty sure you can build one for under $100 and it will store WAY more stuff. Depending on how strong you build it, you can put your mower, snow blower, bicycles, etc. up there.

i built mine in a couple of weeks, an hour here and there, for about $320. Mind you its not as pretty but theres enough space in there for me to play with the bikes, drink a beer and watch a movie and everything is easy to find.

Check under the "Free" section if your on a serious budget. People are chucking these out left and right.

If you got the dough then there are lots of upscale garage units for sale which will riveal your friggin kitchen...just search.
