Friday The 13th Port Dover

I went once, probably 15 years ago or so...
'Bunch of us from work got together to make the trip.
We spent much of our time there playing "spot the OPP surveillance van" and answering dozens of "hey boss" greetings from guys walking past.

I was probably too old even back then to appreciate the crowds, but... Hey if that's your thing... Enjoy and ride safe. :)

I went for the first time in 1994. Froze my ass off to and from.

Have been probably 10 times since, mostly in the last 15 years.

I go partly as an excuse to just go somewhere, and partly to look at bikes as there's usually some unique stuff that shows up. I go early, and usually leave around lunch. There's occasionally some decent deals on gear, although in the last 5 years it's become a lot of cheap import leather and little more.

Not going this Friday though, other priorities.

I need another t-shirt (like a hole in the head), and there's 3-4 older guys who make the best chicken & onion sammys I've ever had. (on the main st, somewhere)
Going again for sure, and I'll go to the one after that, and the one after that and etc.......

chicken and onion is a thing???

I've only gone when it has been somewhat-unexpectedly warm in the spring or fall (contains the crowds), and I go via a backroads route. But June, July, or August? Nope. I'll head the opposite direction.

I was old the last time I went. Left Oshawa on the Thursday, spent the night in Niagara Falls.
The only thing is, the crowds are insane if in June, July or August, compared to any other month.
