fri nite, hamilton, stunt gone wrong

I was there, very brutal crash for sure....GWS rider

I went with some friends as well.
What an impressive show they put on. Should be called backflip circus...Can't believe the trains they were running with 10 MX bikes all doin flips and tricks, sure looked like their tires were going to touch! So close. And how the announcer still has a voice at the end of the night screaming into the microphone for 3 hours straight lol.

And to the downed rider..I wonder how many times he had full rotation into a foam pit to feel confident enough to try it...I don't know what to say. Half these guys won't be able to walk when they're 35 due to blown out knees/ankles..etc..
It's all well and good right now but they will be reaping the consequences later in life...especially Bruce..going through all this now for what? A crowd on their feet cheering you on? Yes you were a hero for about 5 minutes..was it worth it? Surely not...oh well it's his life, hope he fully recovers. Hamilton spectator reported a F'd up spine.

Wow. Too bad. Makes you feel sick.
I hope he beats the odds and walks and rides again.

Get Well Soon.

No one is making you watch it, but this a motorcycle forum where people share motorcycle related articles/videos etc...

If its such a bother turn your computer off and go read a book

Yeah, ok.

I won't reveal my sources, but your first clue should be the EMS report of "serious spinal injury".
My second clue should be the EMS report and subsequent news reports never mentioning paralysis.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was, I figured it to be highly likely as soon as I saw him crash. However, it has not been officially reported anywhere.

seems like the show had more than its share of problems with landing a stunt... what happened to the kid from the audience who got a free ride, tandem front flip,, fail.
or the 2 other fails ... ? It was a great show from all reports I heard... just a bit brutal on a couple landings!
Bruce Cook.. GWS !

Ouch...a risk you take when attempting record breaking stunts I suppose, hope for a speedy recovery, glad his neck's not broken!!
