First Ride 2014

I would, if my bike wasn't in a bazillion pieces! Going to use this weekend to start putting her back together!

Anyone going to take their first ride tomorrow. Just want to know cause I am debating if I should. THanks

Cant decide on your own?

Have you checked your tire pressure?
Tires?
Road conditions?

First ride was a month ago! Took my bike to work this morning too. Let's hope it starts at 5. :|

If you're debating whether its too cold or not go on the 401 and stick your head out the window for a couple minutes.

^^ Not the same.

Without the helmet, the guesstimation would be inacurate =)

OP, please put all your gear and go for a bicycle ride.

is tomorrow national first bike ride day? :)

I finally went for my first ride of 2014 this week and it was glorious :D. I'll try to get another one in tomorrow too.

It is the first full day of spring tommorow. I'd go but my bikes in the shop. I've been out 3 times already this year for short rides.

My bike has been taunting me from the laundry room for the past two weeks so I hope I can ride it a bit tomorrow.

I just hope I put enough stabilizer in my gas tank in December. Not sure what happens if I didn't

It will be fine.

mehhh.... too much salt and road grime. I'll wait until we have a few good rains and +10 temps. Be careful out there... sand ALL OVER the place.

Welp I broke down and too her out of the laundry room and put on 3 layers of clothing below my gear, she had a bit of trouble starting and figuring out it actually had gas, probably because the tank wasn't full when I stored it since I got caught by the first snow but anyway after a bit of shaking it sideways it finally saw it had gas and started fine.

It did take a good 20 minutes to warm up though. Took her to the gas station to fill her up and make sure the tires had the right pressure then rode it for 15 minutes before declaring "holy balls it's cold" and returning home. Felt good to be on again but my visor was fogging up like crazy.

So I'm good for tomorrow now. ^_^

I did get a lot of "What is that crazy bastard doing" looks while on the road too.

It's still too cold and too slippery to ride and have fun riding in my opinion. Plus you'll have to seriously stand outside in the cold washing your bike out after to get all the salt off. I want to ride as much as the next guy.. but I've jumped the gun on things before and they've bit me in the ***.. hard.
