First post, with question on a tire-shop complaint

I'd be unhappy with someone scratching my rims as well. You have a valid complaint, I'm just not sure if it's worth pressing the matter. Cancel the other tire and go to a new shop. **** happens.

It's not likely you will get the shop to make you whole again.

Appreciate you keeping your things in tip top shape. Honest.

So the only advice is to look for a better shop. And in the off season, remove the rear wheel and take care of it.

Stuff happens. How much time do you want to spend on trying to get the shop to fix or pay for the repair?

Good luck.

Thanks just got off the phone with them, cancelled the front tire and will moooove on, thanks guys :)

And you just learned a VERY important lesson... Whatever you post here some one will disagree and have beef with it.. You can donate money to an orphanage and some one here will have an issue or a smart comment...you get used to it..Welcome to the gta motorcycle!

Well. maybe we don't disagree. we may think a small scratch on a rim is't such a big thing. wheels get scratched when tires get changed. It's a fact of life. Come look at my Honda rims. I would guess I have put 30 tires on and off. Do you think they may get a scratch?

Because you are crying over a minor thing. what will you do when bugs get plastered to the headlight?

The bugs are free.
He had to pay for these guys to mount the tire.
So there's a difference.

I understand where the OP is coming from. He;s keeping his cool. Other person would have named the shop on the first post...

Name the shop! They decided not to own the problem, so they pay a larger price. Scratching rims is not acceptable!

Here is my problem in a nutshell, I go to well reviewed motorcycle shop, ask to install new tires, new rear tire installed.

I of course look if my solid metal wheel is looking normal, notice about 3 x 1/2" light but noticeable lines near tire rim. vertical lines
I know they were not there before brought in,(I knew should of taken a photo)store said not there fault,I said I know my low miliage bike.
Now what?? They did say will see if can remove but it's not that easy when they install a front tire ordered, bit confused. thanks

It's not that bad but is noticeable re resale etc., anyone dealt with this problem before, btw rear tire was original from new purchase.
No big deal more of a nuisance, you pay a pro to change a tire and you don't expect this. Now not even sure if to trust them on my front
but they did say would try to remove lines.

Bikes get scratches over time. Unless it's a cruiser, gotta polish them every 15 seconds and pray bugs don't hit your road boat... ;)

Have I entered the" Twilight Zone "on this forum... my only point is I paid top dollar to a shop (pro) to install a tire properly not to make it worse..

ps who care's if it's a cruiser or scooter or HD or Moped I would still be annoyed...

I would also be upset if someone scratched my rim...
Elwood, was this done at Rosey Toe's by any chance?
