Fairing Repainting

Hey Everyone,

I need some help.

I have a '11 Ninja 250 which I need to get repainted.

At the end of last season I dropped my bike (slow speed) avoiding a kid who ran out onto the road and now have slight rash on the left side fairing.

I'm either looking to get it repainted or replaced.

Does anyone know where I could get this done reasonably?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe

I'm fairly interested as well -- Always goes through my mind what would the costs be if I bought a bike in a colour I didn't like (based on price), and then wanted to get it professionally repainted to a different colour. In my case I'd want the job to look as close to factory as possible...and would just buy new OEM fairings in a preferred colour if they weren't stupidly priced.

Note too this isn't for my 250 -- Moreso thinking if I picked up a CBR600RRA (can't stand the new tricolour, and not a fan of the last gen black either).

Repainting a whole bike will cost you well over a grand, and about 300ish for a fairing just not worth it for a user grade 250...I've been through this many times and PM'd GTAM's finest for quotes. Get it from http://www.extremefairings.com/. Its about half the price of repainting and fit is pretty much 99.9%. Colour match is about as good as it gets short of OEM if you send them a link to the colour you require from the Color-Rite website. Here's some pictures...tank is stock all the plastics are not...A whole set is about $550 shipped, a single fairing is 160-180ish. Tell them you were referred on GTAM and you won't pay the price on the website.

well over a grand?? LOL lets let the OP get a quote from me before you shoot that insane number around.

I was referring to a full bike including materials not just labour, and just to point out when I got my quotes I needed some rash fixed up and some minors cracks welded. Just a quart of paint is 200 bucks plus tax from Color-Rite and then add on the clearcoat and shipping. If you will sand and paint for 800 bucks please let me know...I got a whole set I wouldn't mind getting done.

^^ dude you got a naked bike of course its not as much as a fully faired one...

Carboncat can you supply the paint at cost or do we bring our own if we want OEM colours?

gatekeeper....nice to see pics of that beast again, how are you?

take a look at my bike on this thread .. costs only $100 to wrap it with whatever color you want ...i wouldnt spend lots of money for new fairing or painting the 250. there is always high possibility you will drop the bike again and here we go money wasted ...

I have a buddy who Vinyl wraps, He is in Kitchener, but if anyone is serious I could ask him how much he charges.

This is him doing his Beamer:

Doing very well, Thanks for asking TJ.....

Getting ready for this season to get the 750 out.....and I will probably have some more painting for you this season as well, doing another restore on another bike, so I will be in touch with you once again as soon as I have the plastics ready to go.....

Could you give me the contact info of who wrapped your bike? Thanks.

i wrapped my bike , most wrapping shops said they dont wrap bikes, too much work. one of them asked $1000 plus they told me to take off the fairing and bring them to shop... its better to wrap it by yourself since material doesnt cost much. u need to be patient and get someone to help you with stretching and heat gun...
