Loois thinks Merc has resurrected Party Mode. Said there's no way they'd be a 10th or two back in Q1 then suddenly be down 5 to 7ths in Q2 and Q3.

It's not just Ferrari feeling that Mercedes is cheating.

question: I don't know if I asked this previously but what benefit was there by adding hybrid to the cars when they are running on Carbon neutral fuel?

I’d say nothing but optics and maybe somebody owns a massive hybrid tech business . You can’t fly twenty two cars and one thousand staff around the planet throwing huge parties on super yachts and be green no matter how hard you try

They've made headway in the travel mileage issue in recent years vis a vis the callendar. This year the first three races in the Pacific Rim then the next two were supposed to be in the Gulf (Bahrain and Jeddah) but they've been kiboshed. San Marino and Algarve (Portimão) are the tentative replacements.

I'm no Merc fan but Kimi seems like a nice kid so I hope he does well. Russell on the other hand is too smug and annoys me.
Hamilton has gone from being the constant whiner at Merc to being quite likeable at Ferrari. I've always been a Ferrari fan (being one of the first pictures on my wall as a kid )so I'll pull for them no matter who's in the seat.
I also pull for Haas and Aston as I like an underdog story (I also respect Gene Haas for all he's done and like the emerald green and style of mainstream Aston cars).

I really don't see how you can have any respect for Aston Martin. The entire project is to somehow teach Lance how to drive.... not working.
As soon as Lance throws in the towel, Daddy's packing up shop.

You're cheating! Yeah, well you're cheating too!

FIA bans Ferrari's halo winglet after FP1.

Not that long ago, "Halo will obstruct our vision and is dangerous". Now, "Oh look, another surface to attach aero too. These drivers are awesome they can figure out how to drive without being able to see.".

Merc gave him a $250K Limited edition AMG GT 63 a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, being only 18, he's restricted to cars under 100 HP due to a new law in Italy.

It looks like limiting to <1700 rpm would satisfy the power limit. Weird and boring to drive that way. It would be like a heavy truck where you just ride the torque and shift very often.
